Day 2

Just got back from Skiing.....Praise the Lord no major injury! Didnt get any push back on the mandatory helmet rule. The students are definitely getting tired! I think God has already begun to do a new thing in many student's lives!

Tonight is worship and Communion!

Day 1 just keeps on rolling

Its been a full first day of One Life and its not even close to being over. The Yupper Olympics was a hit followed by a afternoon of broomball and other fun activities. Iron River (clearly the Home Team) pulled a convincing yet close 1-0 victory over the rival Winnetka Covenant Church.

Dinner tonight was the ever famous Point Pizza! I appreciate the effort the kitchen staff put into top notch food here at Point!

Students as they finish up dinner are working on their Public service announcement for the variety show which should be quite entertaining!

More to Come

Leaving crivitz now!

Friday, January 15, 2010

We are about 20 minutes from camp and all is well. More to come throughout the weekend!

Friday

And here we are 12:3opm on a Friday afternoon, putting the finishing touches on the weekend. This weekend didnt turn out quite like I had planned. The events of tuesday afternoon and my own personal connections with a country already in dire straits has made preparation for this weekend at times difficult. This weekend is about what God reveals through his Word into the lives of students. This weekend is about living into the potential that God has for each of us. As the events taking place in Haiti unfold, may that be a background and a reminder that we need God in our lives and that we desire that he reveals himself to us!

Pray this weekend for Students...for their ability to open up and hear the Word spoken into their lives

Pray this weekend that God shows up in Mighty ways

Pray this weekend that God comfort his people both in the UP of Michigan and in the Streets of Haiti!
